Hope I see you again, someday.
This is a lake in Alaska, so far from anywhere but yet feels like everywhere. I have some incredible memories there and so hope that someday I can go back. A peaceful and serene place to just soak in the clean air and beauty.
Hope I see you again, someday.

I've been crafting and reading a lot lately. I got a Kindle Touch and it is so awesome. I can go between my smartphone, my tablet, and my Kindle Touch and every time I change a device it syncs to the last page read, isn't technology great! I never thought I would get use to reading on a device but now I love it. It's still nice to flip a book and pictures are still better in a book or magazine but the ability to download and start reading in a minute is really great! This is the beautiful spot where Ben took his last breath. I have visited this spot several times, even when we were waiting for the Lake to release him, I know why Ben loved this area. In my mind I imagine him walking back after his swim, not knowing the danger that he escaped from, continuing his life uninterrupted. This is my first born, Benjamin, he died on June 17th. He was 31 years old. A crazy impulsive moment, he decided to jump into Lake Michigan. The Lake had other plans for him, pulling him under in a strong current. For 12 agonizing days we waited until she released her grip of him, so we could have him back and finally have what we thought was a end to this nightmare, but it was only a beginning. Now we spend everyday missing him and trying to live our lives knowing we will never see his smile again. He was not an angel, he drove us all crazy at times, he had a insatiable zest for life and his mind never stopped trying to find a way to get more out of life. He was charming, messy, argumentative, funny, handsome, and had a imagination that never ended, and most of all he was my baby, Benjamin Timothy. Finally my Sweet Autumn Clematis is blooming, the bees are so busy soaking in the sweet smelling bliss that is filling my backyard. Although the weather is much too hot for this time of year, I have been trying to be outside to enjoy it. The weather this weekend is going to finally be a bit cooler, but I hate to complain as I'm sure I'll be complaining about the cold days ahead. Such is the circle of life....complaining about whatever we don't have. Starting out with a new blog, website and twitter handle...yipeee.
Now hopefully I can make some good networking use out of all this great technology. I've had my Etsy store for awhile and have had very good luck and met some great people from all over the world, but I just felt like I needed a kick in the pants to get some more info about my crafts out there. So here goes!!!! |
I live in the Midwest and have a obsession for re-purposing items in crafts. There will be a large variety of things posted on here, if I like them I usually list them on Etsy to see if they raise any interest in someone's creative eye. Many of the items I make for my friends because they just don't have the time or craftiness...is that a word?... it should be! So I will post my creations and probably post some of my flops, because let's be honest, we crafters have many of those too. Drop me a line if you feel the need to say howdy! Archives
